Base Pay Range A$130,000.00/yr - A$170,000.00/yr Australian-owned HVAC engineering and contracting firm, offering engineering from the design phase into construction for residential, commercial, health-care and industrial projects, is seeking a Project Engineer to join the team. The Project Engineer will report to the Construction Manager and will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a variety of projects. You will have a strong technical background in HVAC engineering, with the ability to work collaboratively with other engineering professionals, architects, and contractors. Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for Engineering. Negotiate contracts and/or service agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and challenges. Perform load calculations, system simulations, and energy modelling to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC systems. Oversee HVAC system installation and commissioning. Ensure HVAC systems meet all local, state, and federal regulations. Prepare and review technical documentation, system specifications, design reports, and operation and maintenance manuals. Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators to inform decision-making. 5+ years local/Australian experience working on HVAC commercial D & C projects (preferable experience on projects $15 million or higher). Proven experience in an Engineering role within the construction industry, preferably in HVAC or building services. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with relevant software and technology solutions, relating to modelling. Knowledge of Australian Standards for example, mechanical ventilation and air conditioning in buildings AS1668.2-1991 and Plumbing Regulations 2018, Mechanical Services work. RPEQ/CPEng desirable but not essential. If this position is of interest to you, please apply.
