About the Role Reporting to the Group People Manager and collaborating within the People / Recruitment team, you will support a diverse portfolio across multiple locations nationwide leveraging your depth of HR and IR / ER experience. Partnering with operational leaders and their teams, you will provide responsive, practical advice and implement proactive solutions to enhance people leadership capabilities across the business. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering and embedding key components of people-focused improvement projects. Key responsibilities : Manage various employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR) issues, such as misconduct, performance, and conflict resolution, ensuring fairness across the Company. Handle complex ER / IR cases, providing practical, commercial and timely solutions. Collaborate with leaders from different departments to offer strategic HR / ER advice that enables operational delivery and promotes a positive workplace culture. Lead and support organisational changes, ensuring smooth transitions for employees and alignment with business goals. Act as a change agent, facilitating communication and engagement during transformations. Support employee development initiatives, including training, succession planning, and career development programs; helping to identify any skills gaps within the workforce. Provide guidance and support to interstate teams, addressing region-specific matters while ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. Identify and address emerging ER / IR issues to maintain a fair, compliant, and productive work environment. Work closely with your broader People / Recruitment team to ensure integrated solutions are delivered and any team support is provided as required. About you A tenacious self-starter, you enjoy taking ownership, are solutions-focused, outcome orientated and are driven by enabling change. You can prioritise and organise your time, have exceptional attention to detail and can frame and deliver effective communications. You have developed a reputation as a creative go-getter with great energy, and someone who can be relied upon to do what they say they will do and deliver. Key attributes : Proven background working in the blue-collar sector, complemented by HR / ER post qualification experience. Exceptional organisation to juggle conflicting priorities and stakeholder expectations. An understanding of the impact of HR decisions on wider business operations. Excellent written and verbal communication, with high attention to detail. Act intuitively; show initiative and act responsively. Strong problem-solving orientation. Sound knowledge of Australian Industrial Legislation and the ability to interpret Awards and EAs. Accountability for delivering HR / ER services, initiatives and / or training. Financial acumen and comprehension of the impact of HR decisions on business performance and profitability. Tertiary qualifications in Business / HR or similar desirable.
