We are seeking a Senior Indigenous Research Coordinator to join Carumba Institute, Indigenous Australians, Chancellery Division. The Senior Indigenous Research Coordinator will be responsible for leading and coordinating the Carumba Institute’s National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Medical Research Futures Fund Indigenous Health grant in partnership with Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service. What you need to succeed Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a field related to research data analytics and coordination and extensive relevant experience in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander studies, public health, health sciences, social sciences or comparable subject matter. Extensive knowledge and proven experience with social justice, with a well-developed theoretical understanding of the impact of 'race' on real-life outcomes. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills in managing research projects, including the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage budgets. Additionally, have previous experience coordinating multi-site research projects. High level written and oral communication skills with the ability to represent research effectively internally and externally, including written and visual presentations to showcase research outcomes at conferences. Experience in complying with ethical, legal, contractual and policy requirements of research grants. Previous experience in Indigenous research and practice in a health services-based or education environment.
