Senior Information Security Governance and Risk Analyst Job no: 579472Work type: Full timeLocation: Corporate Services - NSW MetropolitanCategories: Information Technology This is a permanent full-time opportunity to join the Cyber Security team with the ability to be based in Sydney - St Leonards, with hybrid working arrangements. The Opportunity The Senior Information Security Governance and Risk Analyst is responsible for ensuring the organisation's information security and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, standards, and best practices. This role will require the successful candidate to: Conduct security assessments and identify cyber security threats across Ramsay Australia. Specification of security controls to improve security posture. Monitor compliance with industry standards and best practices. Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the proper handling of sensitive data and information. About You To be successful in this role, you will be a positive and professional person with up-to-date knowledge of the latest security threats, trends, and technologies. Your strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills allow you to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage stakeholders effectively. Key Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in information security, risk management, or compliance within large complex enterprise environments. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in risk management methodologies, cybersecurity frameworks, and regulatory compliance. Possesses working knowledge of security standards and regulations, including the Australian Privacy Act, SOCI Act, ISO 27001 / 27005 / 31000, NIST CSF, and PCI DSS. In-depth understanding of third-party risk management and cyber security supply chain security risk. Proven experience in vendor and stakeholder management. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex cyber security risks and strategies for diverse audiences, including executive leadership. Desirable Skills and Experience Working knowledge of operating systems, networking, and cloud technology security. Experience in the use of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) applications. Data analysis using Excel or Power BI. Previous experience working in the health care industry. A proven history of contributing to or leading security governance initiatives.
