Purpose of this role: Manage your own diverse portfolio, taking a proactive approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery. You will have the ability to shape your portfolio, access technical support from specialised areas such as Workers Compensation and Trade Credit, and be provided with a solid book of clients that will assist with your growth, offer ample opportunities, and ensure you are well-rewarded for your efforts. A strong understanding of construction insurance will be a key asset and is essential for success in this role. Key accountabilities include: Describing insurable risk to your clients, designing appropriate insurance solutions, and negotiating and managing the best deal in the global insurance market for them. Managing relationships with our underwriting partners. Managing your own budget, sales plan, and debtors. Providing mentoring and coaching to more junior employees. Promoting the Gallagher brand within the local business community, the region, and nationally. To be considered: We are seeking an experienced broker in a similar role, ideally with exposure to construction, civil, and corporate insurance products plus: Sales orientated with the ability to build a long-term pipeline to support new business growth. Strong account management experience. A proven track record of delivering both financial and operational results. Highly developed communication and negotiation skills complemented by a driven, passionate, and professional disposition. A willingness to contribute to a team environment, not be afraid of growth, and include yourself in a working environment where we challenge each other and sharpen ideas as a team.
