In this role: You will work with the Operations team to oversee the daily administration and operations of the fixed income and venture capital funds, including managing the funds’ investments and providing investor services to the fund’s partners. You will utilize strong communication and stakeholder management skills to resolve queries with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including the investment team, startup founders, investors, customers, and service providers such as fund auditors. You will be integral in identifying potential operational gaps, improving efficiencies, and streamlining processes for complex investment operations and fund administration projects. Key responsibilities: Investor services, including onboarding, processing investor applications and transfers, and managing ad-hoc investor requests. Fund administration services, including administering investor capital calls, maintaining the investor registry, management of fund cash flow and payments, valuation of fund assets, and assisting with fund accounting, audit, and tax duties as required. Management and communication with investee portfolio companies, including onboarding startups, safekeeping investment documents, attending and keeping minutes for weekly investment team meetings and investment committee meetings. Compliance and regulatory reporting, including identifying and mitigating operational risk and escalating items appropriately. Perform daily BAU functions like cash/position reconciliations, trade settlements, fund distributions, unit pricing, valuations, and performance, and review of fees and RG97. About you: Bachelor's degree, ideally with a focus on finance or business. 3-5+ years previous experience in a large financial services firm preferred but not necessary. Motivated, bright, and diligent individual who is a keen self-starter and a team player. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across various stakeholders. Ability to be flexible and prioritize in a dynamic environment to manage multiple workflows and continuously improve processes. Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Some experience with funds management and different fund structures - any knowledge of Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership (ESVCLPs) and unitised trust structures would be advantageous. Good working knowledge of a range of investment securities.
