Senior Leasing Manager Flood Warning Infrastructure Network $130,445 - $146,506 + 15.4% super Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Darwin, Sydney, Perth, Hobart The Bureau has an extensive property portfolio located throughout the Australian mainland and adjacent islands comprising 42 staffed offices, 62 weather surveillance radar sites and approximately 700 automatic weather station sites. The Property Services function is responsible for the delivery of facilities management and leasing services, together with the provision of strategic property advice ensuring that our facilities support the Bureau's activities and outcomes. Under the Flood Warning Infrastructure Network Project (FWIN), the Australian Government has committed $236 million over 10 years to establish a national, reliable flood warning network. Communities, emergency services and businesses need reliable access to flood forecasts and warnings, to help them prepare and respond to flooding events. This investment will improve reliability and consistency of flood data, forecasts and warnings. The funding will be used to purchase and upgrade high priority flood gauges that are currently owned by local, state and territory governments in flood-prone areas. The Senior FWIN Leasing Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Property Services, will be responsible for managing the Bureau's project leasing activities as they relate to the FWIN, ensuring security of tenure for Bureau operations. The successful applicant will possess the following attributes: Extensive experience in Commonwealth property leasing. Extensive leadership, interpersonal, communication and team management skills including the ability to manage teams remotely. A thorough understanding of the relevant laws relating to leasing (Commonwealth and State). A superior knowledge of the Commonwealth Property Management Framework, Land Acquisitions Act 1989 and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA). Advanced knowledge and ability to interpret complex tenure agreements. A proven track record of the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver a large complex project in a Commonwealth context while managing multiple key stakeholders across various levels of Government.
