Year 5/6 Course Development Position, Adelaide Medical School Academic Level C $135,388 to $155,696 Pro-rata, per annum, plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies and clinical loading (if applicable). 24-month, fixed-term, part-time (0.5 FTE) position available immediately The Adelaide Medical School provides an innovative and collaborative research and teaching environment, located primarily in the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building on North Terrace. This role is critical to Year 5 and Year 6 course material development for the new Bachelor of Medical Studies/MD (BMD) which was launched in 2022. The incumbent will work closely with the Course Development Leads for Years 5/6 of the Bachelor of Medical Studies to enable the delivery of a high-quality curriculum. The incumbent will join a dynamic curriculum development team and will be well supported in this role. You will possess appropriate clinical experience which will allow you to integrate concepts from across the curriculum. You will also need to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as an essential activity will be to liaise with clinical academics and titleholders of the Faculty based at various locations (the CALHN, NALHN and WCHN). The incumbent will also be responsible for: Working with others to refine and implement learning activities and outcomes for the 5th and 6th year of BMD Liaising with Domain Leads and other Curriculum Leads to ensure learning outcomes and other activities are consistent with Domain maps and objectives, adhere to the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Graduate Outcomes, BMD Program Outcomes, and the University Graduate Outcomes Assisting with the preparation of documentation for AMC accreditation requirements Working with staff of the Adelaide Medical School to prepare materials for presentation to students and liaising with staff of LEI who are involved with this project Assisting with implementing the Equity Placement within the 5th year of the BMD. Assisting with the organisation and delivery of the Scholarly Project in 6th year of the BMD. To be successful you will need: A demonstrated understanding of the complexities of working with the implementation of medical program curriculum in a clinical context Good writing skills, including the ability to collate work from a number of contributors Appropriate clinical experience to allow for the translation of diverse content into teaching activities and an awareness of clinical guidelines to ensure best practice Good interpersonal skills including a track record of being able to bring different groups of people together to achieve common goals Strong organisational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team Demonstrated experience of working in areas of diversity within health or social service settings Research/Scholarly project experience Applications close 11:55pm, Thursday 20 March 2025.
