Senior Legal Counsel, Construction (Front-End) & Major Projects / Energy 5-10 PAE Are you an experienced lawyer passionate about the construction and renewable energy sectors? With a series of high-profile tenders recently secured, the company is experiencing significant expansion across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. To support this exciting growth, we’re seeking a Senior Lawyer – Front-End Construction with 5+ years’ post-admission experience (PAE) to join their dynamic Legal team. Please note, that prior experience on energy projects is NOT required. The Team This is your chance to work with a highly respected in-house Legal team led by senior lawyers with diverse expertise across the construction sector. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of high-impact projects while benefiting from international mentorship and career development opportunities. The Role You will be responsible for offering transactional legal support, with your key responsibilities focusing on providing support on the company's bids and tenders across a range of projects and industries, including major social infrastructure, energy including renewables, utilities and telecommunications. Additionally, you will provide legal assistance to project governance initiatives and where appropriate, report to project governance bodies/forums. Requirements The successful candidate will most likely have 5 years' post-admission experience, preferably in front-end construction from a top law firm or leading construction company. In addition, you will have experience: Reviewing & negotiating all infrastructure project contracts & associated documentation – providing the business with front-end advice; Liaising with internal stakeholders on all aspects of the projects; Liaising with external counsel on various aspects of the project (e.g. construction licenses, land requirements, planning and environmental regulation, construction contracts & minor disputes); Identifying key project commercial and legal risks as well as solutions to the project teams; Assisting with the administration of contracts during the project delivery phase of large and complex projects; Providing advice on legislative and legal changes and the impacts that such changes may have on projects, policies, and procedures; Contact For further information, please contact Morgan Elder on +61 415 914 803 or We are committed to fostering a truly inclusive process for all candidates who wish to apply.
