Senior Legal Counsel - Consumer Banking/ Fintech - ASX Listed This ASX-listed, leading fintech organisation is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its dynamic and innovative team, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the company's robust growth and continued success. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will join a high-performing legal and compliance team, providing support and advice on a range of issues including consumer credit, financial regulation, privacy, and general commercial matters. Key Responsibilities: Provide legal and compliance advice to all business units, including responding to ad-hoc requests, drafting policy documents, preparing responses to complaints, and reviewing marketing materials Advising the business on regulatory requirements and providing pragmatic solutions for new products and features Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of commercial agreements Managing legal and regulatory risks across all relevant internal business units, material activities, and projects Advising on PPSR issues, particularly in commercial asset finance transactions Supporting the Chief Legal Officer with project-based and discrete activities in alignment with the organisation's strategic framework Monitor and provide advice on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Liaise with external bodies and regulators such as ASIC and AFCA, where required Experience and Skills Required: 10+ years post qualification experience with in-house legal experience as well as a strong law firm background Knowledge of consumer credit regulatory framework Experience in Commercial Asset Finance Knowledge of AML/CTF, Australian consumer credit and privacy regimes Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex commercial legal and regulatory problems, consult with relevant stakeholders, and propose practical solutions Senior stakeholder management skills including internal as well as with external Vendors/ Partners Strong collaborative, organisational and project management abilities Please send your resume in confidence to Aislyn Jennings, Executive Search Partner, at or call for a confidential discussion, 0432000919.
