The Opportunity As we embark on exciting and monumental projects across South Australia, we are looking for Senior and Experienced Lines Engineer who have relevant experience focusing on Electrical aspects of transmission line and cable systems and works in collaboration with other technical disciplines such as substation, civil and telecommunication. In this role you will be responsible for specialised work related to line engineering services and infrastructure ensuring compliance to ElectraNet's regulatory performance and network operation obligations. You will be the subject matter expert in technical aspects of design delivery including detailed design, equipment selection, construction, and commissioning. Success in this role is characterised by proficiency in Lines design, strong technical expertise, clear strategic thinking, effective communication, and an ability to build relationships across broad stakeholder groups to drive complex resolutions effectively. About You Here's what we're looking for in our new team members: Engineering degree (Electrical, Civil or Structural) with at least 5 to 10 years' experience in the design, installation/commissioning, operation and/or maintenance of transmission line and cable assets. Knowledge and experience of whole of life function and operation of high voltage electricity transmission networks and transmission line practices. Expert knowledge of electrical line design principles relating to line uprating solutions, line induction, earth potential rise, earthing, lightning protection, EMF, corona and RFI/TVI. Knowledge of principles of insulation coordination and electric/magnetic transient analysis for application to line engineering, HVDC, HSIL. Demonstrated ability to prepare and review line specifications. Experience of CDEGS, PSCAD, PLS-CADD, CYMCAP, ETAP and other electrical, structural and line design software & tools is essential. Knowledge of legislated industry requirements (WHS, National Electricity Rules, ESCOSA, OTR, AEMO Guidelines) as well as relevant Australian and IEC standards as applicable to line design. Possesses a strong commitment to safety and problem-solving. Proven ability to work with internal and external stakeholders with good communication skills.
