Do work that matters Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Commonwealth Bank Group’s relationships with major corporates, banks, non-bank financial institutions, government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. IB&M Risk Management is responsible for the oversight and risk management of IB&M’s activities in Australia and internationally. See yourself in our team The Bank and Securitisation Risk Team is responsible for the Risk management of a diverse portfolio of Global and Domestic Banks, plus Diversified Financial companies and Securitisation vehicles. In this role you will be working individually and across the team to manage the Risk oversight on a diverse portfolio of Securitisation customers. As a Senior Manager you will play a key role in setting risk appetite for this growth segment within the broader Financial Institutions Risk Group (FIG Risk) within IB&M Risk. Day to day you can expect to Analyse, interpret, prepare, and review credit papers across a portfolio of non-bank lenders and Securitisation customers. Negotiate core lending facilities and Securitisation structures, present deals to relevant approval committees and exercise a sizable individual delegated credit authority. Work with front line colleagues to understand customer strategies, support growth opportunities and perform extensive customer due diligence. Use internal and external data to monitor customer and portfolio risks, assess the impact of counterparty specific and macroeconomic risks on our clients and recommend strategies to minimise risk. Ensure transaction or portfolio credit risks are identified, managed, measured, monitored, and reported. We're interested in hearing from people who have: A mature understanding of the Australian securitisation market, funding structures, participants, and risks. Experience in Financial Institutions lending or complex corporate lending structures. Experience analysing and writing about credit risk for a senior audience. A passion for leadership, excellent communication skills and a customer obsessed mindset. A proactive mindset to seek out problems and find solutions. Solid time management and prioritisation skills; and ability to work under guidance. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with experience using data and visualisations to drive insights. High levels of curiosity and a willingness to innovate to find solutions to challenges.
