Job Description About the role The Development and Marketing team plays a pivotal role in the sustainability and growth of Geelong Arts Centre and its programs. The team is tasked with maintaining existing and attracting new and diverse audiences and financial supporters, from within the greater Geelong region and beyond. The Senior Manager reports to the Director with responsibility to protect and grow the health of Geelong Arts Centre brands and bring to life Geelong Arts Centre’s vision and purpose, build and drive the marketing, brand and PR portfolios to engage, attract and acquire new audiences and to retain our existing audiences, members and advocates. Further, fuel growth across engagement, attendance and positive perceptions for all that Geelong Arts Centre has to offer. Desired Skills and Experience Essential qualifications and experience To be successful in this position, you will have experience in a similar role, a passion for the arts and thrive in a high-energy, innovative environment. Your experience will include: Tertiary qualification in marketing, creative services/advertising, PR, brand strategy and management and or equivalent experience in similar service organisation/roles. Experience in leading and driving creative agencies and a creative services studio – including creating and delivering artwork for all media output and channels including digital delivery. Ability to work as a creative director as required. Experience in media buying and channel strategy to support key advertising and brand outcomes and strong media relationships. Well established skills and experience in PR and Corporate Communications strategy and execution including issues management and crisis communications. Highly developed understanding of customer research processes and outcomes to drive, manage and deliver the benchmarking and reporting of key customer metrics Expertise in budget development, management and reporting capability Proven ability to lead a range of projects simultaneously and to deliver agreed outcomes within a fast-paced, dynamic environment Demonstrated, strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to create compelling campaigns to engage a diverse range of people, communities, audiences and stakeholders. Experience in leading and motivating a high-performing team. Desirable qualifications and experience An interest in, and knowledge of, the performing arts. Knowledge of the Geelong and district community. Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Design skills and experience in the use of Adobe Creative Suite. Special requirements Flexibility in working hours to support daytime, evening, and some weekend work will be required as part of the normal hours of duty for this position.
