Opportunity to join BT’s Business Controls and Monitoring team Established career path and progression opportunities Sydney based permanent role How will I help? This role plays an important part in implementing and managing risk and compliance management across BT. This includes incidents, issues, Root Cause Analysis, and supporting the BT Business with its compliance plans. The role requires a candidate with a wealth background specific to platforms and investments and must have a risk and compliance background. This role will also support the consistent implementation and embedding of risk and compliance management framework, policies, and controls. This is a specialised role with key responsibilities including assisting the business at the Executive Manager level with the maintenance of the MIS, IDPS Like, and SPS Compliance Plans, including stakeholder management for updates and any required support with related internal and external audits or assurance. It is an expectation of this role to support a strong risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs. You will also: As part of a team of risk professionals, contribute to ensuring the divisional and business operations and risk management practices align with the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group. Maintain the MIS, IDPS Like, and SPS Compliance Plans, including stakeholder management for updates and any required support with related internal and external audits or assurance. Provide risk expertise to the business in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risk and controls issues to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives. Support the proactive and effective monitoring, management, and reporting of current and emerging risks and facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness, and ownership of risk throughout the business. Partner with stakeholders to identify and enable more efficient and effective risk practices in the business. Provide risk advice in the assessment of root cause analysis and remediation of incidents and issues. Provide input to regulatory requests and remediation and support the delivery of remediation programs. Provide input into the quality of JUNO records and updates to drive a risk-focused culture. What do I need? Experienced risk management professional with strong financial services experience (5-10 years). At least 12 months of experience in a Risk Senior Manager role. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. Influencing and negotiating skills. Quality assurance and control testing experience. Strong investigative and enquiry questioning skills.
