We’re ready to help you do it. The Role: The Senior Manager of Business Risk (Line 1) will play a key role in overseeing and managing the first line of defence in risk management within AP+. This role involves leading risk assessment and mitigation efforts, ensuring that operational risks are effectively managed, and collaborating closely with business units to integrate risk management practices into their daily operations. We operate a "hub" model for our line 1 risk team, working together with other members of the team to perform risk assessments, controls assurance and other risk management activities so a collaborative working style is a must. Proposed day to day activities will be: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and manage operational risks across various business units. Assist in the monitoring and reporting of key risk indicators and risk mitigation strategies to senior management. Assist in identification, documentation and remediation of issues and risk incidents, including reporting to senior management. Lead and coordinate risk assessment activities, including risk identification, evaluation, and the implementation of effective controls. Work with business unit leaders to develop and execute risk mitigation plans tailored to specific operational risks. Perform controls assurance on an annual basis, identifying gaps and working with the business to uplift controls. Maintain and update risk management documentation, including risk registers and control frameworks. Prepare detailed risk management reports and updates for senior management and other stakeholders. In order to be considered for the role, we’re looking for: Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior role within the first/second line of risk or audit experience. Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, control implementation, and risk mitigation within a complex organizational environment. Technology risk experience highly desirable Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and the confidence to liaise with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organisation.
