About the role As the Senior Manager - Commercial Performance , you will play a key role in aligning financial drivers with the enterprise strategic plan across the Australian Retirement Trust (ART) domains. This critical role involves being responsible for the 5-year financial plan, enterprise revenue and expense forecasting, driver analysis as well as assessing the impact on the group's reserve forecasts. You will be responsible for ensuring the commercial outcomes of ART, always prioritising members' best financial interests. You will build and maintain relationships with your key stakeholders, providing them with accurate, timely and relevant information. Additionally, you will make sure knowledge is shared and enhanced within and across the broader Finance & Strategy team. You will be integral to the CFO Line of Business, overseeing and delivering benefits and operational efficiencies across the enterprise to achieve the key strategic objectives of the FY30 strategic program of work. In addition to the below accountabilities, leadership qualities and behaviours aligned to ART’s values of ‘courage’, ‘empathy’, ‘excellence’ are to be demonstrated while performing this role. Develop and implement a bespoke Commercial Performance Framework (CPF) that will bring together the inputs from accurate revenue forecasts, pragmatic cost discipline and strategic funding requests to deliver the enterprise strategy.The CPF will help the team develop and maintain a consistent financial strategy, ensuring high-quality management reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and business case development services. Enterprise performance and reporting including external reporting and in year reporting (CFO report) to the Executive Committee, the Board of Trustees and external managers/stakeholders. Corporate Finance Modeling and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial and management insights, information, and proposals. Provide thought leadership to the Executive Committee and collaborate with Business Area leaders to identify strategic opportunities and improve business performance whilst supporting risk and financial management objectives. Support the business in remaining compliant with internal policies and any relevant statutory frameworks and operating license requirements. This role is a permanent opportunity and ideally based in Brisbane. However, we are open to considering candidates from Sydney. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: Professional accounting qualifications such as Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA ANZ), Certified Practising Accounts Australia (CPA) or equivalent. In-depth knowledge and extended experience in the financial services industry. Demonstrated commercial acumen and proven experience contributing to the development of succinct and aligned strategy planning outcomes. Advanced financial modelling skills including knowledge of internal and external reporting best practices, key performance indicators and benchmarks. Experience in driving the analysis, monitoring and realisation of operational efficiencies across large and complex organisations with multiple stakeholders including consideration of the financial and non-financial impacts. Excellent collaboration skills with proven experience in drawing together multiple parts of a business to deliver a cohesive outcome. Demonstrates outstanding written and oral communication skills and influencing skills at senior/executive management level. Proven experience in the preparation and presentation of financial and non-financial reports for Executive and senior stakeholders and industry bodies/regulators as required.
