Job Description

As a Senior Manager – Crisis Management, you will be responsible for supporting the Crisis Response Lead and Crisis Management Program Lead roles in the delivery of crisis management guidance and functions to the Commonwealth Bank and Bankwest, while also supporting ASB and international locations. Your primary focus will be on managing disruptive events through established response protocols and framework of the Crisis Management Program. Position Specific Responsibilities Support the team delivery of Group-wide response capability, providing support to advisory and response management activities relating to crisis management to ensure that all parts of the Group can mitigate the impact of disruption events and meeting specified regulatory requirements. Job Description Response Process Alignment: Support the alignment of response processes with relevant Business and Support Units, including but not limited to technology, cyber, communications, people, and regulatory teams. Plan Maintenance and Improvement: Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Group-level plans, such as Pandemic, Natural Disaster, and Major Outage Plans. Support crisis response systems: Maintain Group mass communications and information management systems to ensure effective response capability. Operational Response Leadership: Support operational-level responses that impact our people, customers, reputation, or operations. After Action Reporting: Conduct after-action reports to identify and drive improvement actions, ensuring lessons learned are integrated into future responses. Code of Conduct Adherence: Adhere to the Code of Conduct, which sets the standards of behaviour, actions, and decisions expected from our people. Other responsibilities will include: Supporting the design, development, training, testing, maintenance and exercising of the crisis management framework. Providing leadership and guidance for the development of relevant playbooks and plans. Providing specialist input into the supporting frameworks, assessments and assurance activities performed by the respective business areas. Supporting management to respond to disruptive events in accordance with the Crisis Management Framework. Providing insights and reporting on gaps, issues and compliance performance. We're interested in hearing from you if you have: Practical experience in crisis management programs and teams within large organisations. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills across complex issues and diverse business functions. Excellent communication and information management skills with the ability to take complex information and communicate a clear and concise message. A strong customer focus. Understanding of technical or cyber response requirements. Experience in Risk Management, incident response or program management (of benefit but not essential).
