Full time fixed term role until 31st of March 2027 Align and promote national ecosystem and partnership development strategies and initiatives in the newly formed Quantum Australia organisation Base Salary of $150,628 + 17% superannuation + annual leave loading About Quantum Australia Quantum Australia is a pioneering organisation bringing together Australia’s top research institutions, industry leaders, and Quantum organisations. Our mission is to accelerate the development and adoption of quantum technology by fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and building a thriving quantum ecosystem. The organisation brings together Australia’s quantum leaders across industry, academia and the startup ecosystem to fundamentally shift the dial on the translation of quantum technologies and position Australia as a leader in the market. Administered by the University of Sydney over an initial 3-year period, Quantum Australia is supported by a $18.4M grant from the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, with significant additional financial support from state governments and university partners. A central team will be based in Sydney to support state and territory-based teams Nodes in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, and the ACT. These Nodes will reside within the other Quantum Australia’s partner universities. About the opportunity As the Senior Manager, Ecosystem and Partnership , you will oversee the ecosystem and partnership development pillars of Quantum Australia, working to align the national approach and drive cross-node collaboration. Your role will be to establish and execute programs supporting high-growth quantum technology in Australia, applying strategic leadership and operational oversight to the definition of program goals, building partnerships, and ensuring the successful launch and execution of initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a flagship organisation, pulling together the best of talent within the Australian Quantum Community to drive the growth of a thriving local quantum industry. Your key responsibilities will be to: Work in a collaborative and dynamic start-up environment reporting into the CEO, Quantum Australia. Provide operational and strategic oversight to program initiatives with the support of the Program Administration Officer to manage day-to-day operations. Build and foster relationships with and between the different partnership development and ecosystem development streams across the Quantum Australia organisation. Take responsibility for financial oversight of external funding to the organisation, providing efficiency and transparency of resources and budgets. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, industry partners, and universities, and identify and nurture new potential stakeholders. Provide support to the annual Quantum Australia conference. About you Tertiary qualifications or equivalent extensive work experience. Strong financial literacy and management skills, with experience managing external funding and government grants. Proven partnership development experience with industry, government, and ideally University stakeholders. Experience navigating complex organisations within the government or higher education landscape. High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative as required. Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously, with the adaptability to work in an often-changing environment. Highly developed stakeholder communication and management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
