About the opportunity This is an exciting 12-month FTC opportunity for a Senior Manager, Planning & Deployment to play a key role in driving strategic and cyclical People & Culture initiatives at Australia Post. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive Deployment Framework, optimising both cyclical and strategic program delivery, and fostering continuous improvement. Key tasks include re-engineering processes, developing standardised tools, and aligning deployment activities with the delivery cycle. You’ll lead the creation of a best-in-class deployment function for strategic P&C programs, collaborating with Service Owners to optimise technology and resources. Additionally, you’ll provide a unified view of P&C changes, balancing organisational capacity with business needs, and engaging stakeholders to create a clear roadmap for transformation. What you’ll deliver with us In this role, you’ll shape the future of People & Culture at Australia Post by creating a streamlined governance framework to drive key initiatives. You’ll work closely with COEs and Advice & Services to optimise and transition cyclical activities into smooth, business-as-usual operations. Your mission is to lead the coordination and deployment of strategic programs, enhance change communications, and ensure transparency across all P&C activities. You’ll be at the forefront of driving customer-centricity, improving processes, and using KPIs to measure success. As a leader, you’ll nurture a high-performing team that prioritises safety, wellbeing, and exceptional service delivery, while guiding their growth and development. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver impactful programs that shape the future of our organisation. You’ll also Develop and implement a planning and deployment governance framework to coordinate key People & Culture activities and initiatives across the enterprise. Collaborate with COEs and Advice & Services to optimise and transition cyclical people and leader activities into business-as-usual processes. Plan, coordinate, and deploy strategic programs, such as Activate and AP Way Say, across the organisation from a centralised function. Create and manage a framework for change management and communications to ensure transparency across all P&C initiatives. Engage stakeholders through relevant forums to capture change and deployment activities early, ensuring clear and digestible updates. Monitor KPIs and conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of P&C programs and drive continuous improvement. About you You’re a skilled change leader with expertise in Project Management (Agile) and Change Management certifications. With a strong HR background, you excel in transforming People & Culture processes and driving successful change initiatives. You thrive in managing complex projects, balancing multiple priorities, and turning ambiguity into action. Your analytical mindset and problem-solving skills help identify improvements, while your exceptional communication and collaboration abilities allow you to influence stakeholders and drive results. You stay ahead of industry trends and emerging tech, ensuring best practices are always at the forefront of your P&C work. You’ll also need Certifications in Project Management (Agile) and Change Management to effectively lead and implement transformations. Experience in HR functions, accelerating your ability to drive process improvements and transform People & Culture initiatives. Proven ability to manage complex projects, balancing multiple priorities and successfully delivering under ambiguity. Expertise in change management, with a track record of planning, executing, and overcoming resistance in transformation initiatives. Strong communication and analytical skills, able to interpret data, collaborate with diverse teams, and influence stakeholders to drive results.
