Your opportunity We're seeking a strong and dynamic leader in the role of Senior Manager Procurement to oversee a complete transformation of the procurement function and lead the way to build something that will benefit the organisation long term. This is a permanent full time role based at Barangaroo, Sydney . The Senior Manager, Procurement is responsible for establishing and leading a fit-for-purpose procurement function at Port Authority that drives a focus on procurement strategy and commercial outcomes while maintaining appropriate governance oversight of the end-to-end sourcing process. Here’s how your impact will truly count: Lead the development and execution of the procurement strategy to deliver significant long-term value and cost savings. Drive commercial capability enhancement among procurement stakeholders and ensure compliance with guidelines and policies. Lead the Procurement transformation and change program with clear vision, communication, and a collaborative approach whilst promoting commercial excellence, efficiency and regulatory compliance. Foster a high-performance culture within the team, emphasizing knowledge sharing and strategic procurement capability, accountability in the team, and ensuring alignment with organisational values and procurement standards. Collaborate with technology partners and internal stakeholders to implement a new integrated procurement technology solution and use data analytics for strategic insights. Ensure full regulatory and legislative compliance in procurement processes and maintain business continuity preparedness. What you’ll bring Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline, including business or commerce, or five years of equivalent experience in procurement management and transformation Experienced in people leadership, coaching and developing teams through transformation and change A strong track record managing end-to-end strategic procurement to deliver strong commercial outcomes, as well as governance and compliance management is desirable Strong negotiation skills to deliver effective commercial procurement solutions, and to coach internal stakeholders Strong written and oral communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders Ability to source and research reputable suppliers, including sourcing from pre-negotiated government contracts, panels, and schemes.
