Up to $175K package inclusive of superannuation Job Description Reporting to the General Manager Risk & Compliance (CRO equivalent), this newly created Senior Manager for Risk Advisory & Insights will play a significant senior leadership role in developing risk management aligned with business needs, strategy, and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with another new role, Senior Manager, Risk Frameworks & Oversight.In this role, the Senior Manager, Risk Advisory & Insights within the second line will support first-line business units by providing risk advisory services and fostering a strong risk culture. This person will ensure effective regulatory engagement by managing relationships with regulatory bodies.Additionally, the role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify emerging risks, enable change and provide strategic insights. A key focus will be promoting a positive risk culture across the organisation while providing technical guidance to incorporate risk management into business operations, aligning with the company’s strategic growth objectives and regulatory expectations.Key Responsibilities Provide strategic and practical risk advice to business units and collaborate with stakeholders to determine, review, and manage operational risk and compliance; Deliver proactive risk reporting to senior management, the Board, and committees; Supervise risk profiles, KRIs, risk appetite, and controls; Conduct enablement to enhance risk awareness and direct initiatives by acting as a trusted risk advisor to key stakeholders; Lead risk culture initiatives; Spearhead engagement with key regulatory bodies (e.g., APRA, ASIC); Analyse and present risk data to identify trends, emerging risks, and areas for improvement; Develop risk dashboards and other reporting tools to provide clear and actionable insights including risk culture monitoring and oversight; Coordinate with senior leadership to align risk strategy with business goals ensuring an effective and efficient approach to risk management. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Tertiary education, preferably with specialisation in finance, business, law or commerce; Exceptional leadership abilities and strong influencing capabilities to drive outcomes and change initiatives; Strong track record in regulatory engagement, building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; 7+ years of risk and compliance management experience within financial services, ideally superannuation (including in a consulting capacity) or other similarly regulated industries is highly regarded.
