The Senior Manager, Strategic Programs is responsible for leading Project Cornerstone - the integrated governance and delivery of a portfolio of programs to deliver a range of crew training assets and facilities across Australia, representing over $100m in Group capex. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning and Programs, this role will ensure each individual program is delivered cross-functionally within Group Services and across multiple AOC business units. Key responsibilities include assessing the feasibility of the holistic multi-program timeline, formulating and implementing governance and strategies to execute at pace, ensuring robust risk management, overseeing financial control across various program budgets, and managing stakeholder communication at multiple levels, including up to Executive Manager (EM) and GLT level. Program success will be contingent on effective integration across all Group airlines (Qantas, QantasLink, Jetstar, Qantas Freight) and managing relationships with relevant stakeholders while navigating conflicting priorities. The position requires strong communication, collaboration, and the ability to lead a team to implement best-practice program management capabilities. You’ll have – 10 years' experience, including 5 years of senior executive leadership experience in large, complex matrix organizations. Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in business, aviation, program or project management. Experience in leading the delivery of large-scale and complex operational programs across multiple business units. Experience working with senior external stakeholders (to EM/GLT-level). Demonstrated ability in communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels within the business. Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to collaborate and create effective teamwork across organizational boundaries. Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
