We have a unique and newly created opportunity available within our Retirement and Wealth business as a Senior Manager – Superannuation Governance . Reporting to the Head of Wealth Partnerships & Retirement Growth, you will leverage your deep understanding of superannuation to support our retail life insurance business to operate effectively within the superannuation sector, and in line with our fund partner commitments and obligations. In this role you will: Collaborate with Risk teams and business owners to review, design, and deliver on obligations and controls for the retail life insurance in super business. Partner with stakeholders to ensure control documentation is maintained, completion of controls assurance with findings related to internal controls are assessed and reported as required. Oversee the management and coordination of the Executive Governance Forums. Oversee the end-to-end reporting framework (financial and operational) for retail superannuation products (including SLA monitoring/review). Provide support with incident management/remediation, projects/change initiatives and regulatory reporting requests related to superannuation. Support coordination of trustee assurance reviews/audits as required. Stay informed about upcoming regulatory changes relating to retail insurance in super and ensure business owners understand the impacts on their business. Monitor developments in superannuation and act as a source of technical guidance to resolve escalated problems and provide guidance on the business impact of any change requirements. Manage relationships with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop appropriate solutions, to deliver a better service to the business. Minimum Requirements: A strong understanding of the regulatory and operational environment, policy development and key legislation relevant to insurance and superannuation industries in Australia. Relevant tertiary qualification. Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to develop relationships, influence, and obtain key information from stakeholders. Ability to project manage and oversee initiatives. A sound understanding of the broader insurance and financial services industry. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. You’re always accountable for your actions. You never give up.
