We will relocate you and your family to Broken Hill About the Role We are looking for an innovative and engaging Senior Metallurgist / Process Engineer to join our Production Team at our Broken Hill Mineral Separation Plant (MSP). This role is an integral part of the Production team and is responsible for providing daily technical support and short-term technical improvements that support the operations of the site. You will have a key role in developing and improving our materials and processes to meet the demands of our customers and industry standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize material properties, enhance manufacturing processes, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Reporting to the Production Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Analysis of process and consumable efficiencies including optimisation. Supporting the Production Manager with technical analysis, troubleshooting, monitoring and process/product efficiency. Responsible for Production, processes, and metallurgical accounting. Support and management of production data and databases. Develop and implement new metallurgical processes to improve product quality and efficiency along with Technology and Improvement Team. Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives through Management of Change process. Provide technical support to manufacturing operations and Quality Control Lab including root cause analysis and process optimization. Identifying anomalies within the process control instrumentation. Communicating and engaging with stakeholders. Confident in managing production data and databases. Passion and commitment to fostering a safety culture at workplace. To be successful in your application, you will ideally possess: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Process Engineering or Metallurgy. 3-5 years experience in Metallurgy/process engineering, ideally gained within a similarly complex fixed plant environment. Good working knowledge of Australian standards. Team oriented, process, and results focused with a demonstrated track record in facilitating change to achieve results. Analytical problem-solving. Advanced computer literacy and the ability to prepare communication, reports & presentations by utilising the Microsoft Office Suite/Applications. What Next?
