Primary Details Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeSenior New Business Commercial Underwriter The opportunity • An opportunity for an experienced Senior New Business Commercial Underwriter to join our Trade Credit business • Location: Sydney • Permanent, Full Time role Your new role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior New Business Underwriter to join the Trade Credit team in Sydney. As the Senior New Business Commercial Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting complex new business and offering specialist advice. Additionally, the role is responsible for building and maintaining broker relationships, applying technical expertise, contributing to business results, staying informed about industry standards and new product introductions and coaching and mentoring Underwriters and Assistant Underwriters. The key responsibilities for this role include the following, but are not limited to: Underwrite new policies in accordance with organisational policy, underwriting standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure all documentation is accurate and complies with organisation guidelines. Provide efficient and timely service & problem-solving solutions to brokers and clients. Develop and maintain good working relationships with all customers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders. Evaluate risk for new business in accordance with standards, to ensure profitable growth. Awareness and understanding of current market conditions. Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records.
