Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role The Senior Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for managing the onsite medical centre and overseeing the delivery of high-quality occupational health services. This role includes supervising a team of nurses, ensuring compliance with health regulations, developing health programs, and providing expert medical guidance to employees and management at Murrin Murrin Operations (MMO). You will be responsible for: Oversee the daily operations of the onsite medical centre, ensuring efficiency and high standards of care. Provide leadership and supervision to a team of two Occupational Health Nurses. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, company policies, and legal obligations. Develop and implement workplace health and wellness programs. Coordinate first aid and emergency medical response for workplace incidents. Collaborate with management, HR, and safety teams to promote occupational health and safety. Maintain accurate health records and prepare reports to support proactive health interventions. Assist with managing Workers’ Compensation cases. Provide timely and accurate statistics and information to line management to assist injury and illness prevention initiatives. About You This role would suit a leader in occupational health able to manage the onsite medical centre and provide guidance, training and performance management to their team. You will also have: Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health, workplace nursing, or related field. Strong knowledge of workplace health regulations, risk management, and injury prevention. Experience in leadership or supervisory roles within a healthcare or occupational health setting.
