Role details The Occupational Therapy Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Occupational Therapist (Geriatric Evaluation and Management/Rehabilitation - Hospital in the Home) to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity To deliver high level comprehensive occupational therapy clinical skills and leadership to provide effective and efficient treatment across the GEMHITH and GEMRHITH service, to client groups within the Mackay HHS, as determined through the Health Service Plan and priorities. About The Team Our Occupational Therapy Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Occupational Therapists play a critical role in helping people of all ages to overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, ageing or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations and participate in the activities of everyday life. About Our Hospital And Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
