Apply now Job no: 492915Work type: full-timeLocation: CanberraCategories: Response Planning Senior Officer Learning and Development $105,749 – $126,270 + 15.4% super Canberra based Ongoing Contribute to development and design of training programs in search and rescue, incident management and marine pollution Liaison and coordination with subject matter experts to ensure best practice training Be part of a values driven team with a strong sense of purpose ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Officer Learning and Development will be an integral member of a small team responsible for the management of training services including, curriculum design, development and coordination of training programs, support and mentoring of SMEs for training delivery both online and face to face. The Senior officer will also contribute the team in managing projects, RTO compliance and validation and event coordination. The Senior Officer will work to build and maintain stakeholder relationships with the team, AMSA staff, National Plan jurisdictional members and a panel of training providers and subject matter experts. You will be responsible for: Design, review, develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development materials, including training and assessment strategies, learner, trainer and assessor materials, in accordance with current AMSA RTO policies and ASQA standards. Manage projects and contribute to the development of e-Learning and blended learning training courses, ensuring best practice in adult learning. Work in a team to coordinate development, engagement and delivery of annualised national and internal training programs, including professional training of the National Response Team, AMSA Response Centre, and other relevant AMSA response areas. Coordinate training course logistical requirements and administration including learner management processes. Work in a team to identify, implement and evaluate continuous improvement to support strategic training directions and organisational priorities. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience: Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training Assessment (or a directly relevant qualification). Demonstrated knowledge and experience in adult learning and instructional design principles for the development, delivery, facilitation, assessment, and continuous improvement for both face-to-face and e-Learning programs. Demonstrated experience working within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or training environment with an understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework (VQF) and VET regulation. Demonstrated technical skills in MS Office, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and other collaborative platforms.
