About the role Liontown Resources is an emerging leader in the battery minerals sector, committed to delivering a sustainable future through our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation. As we transition into full-scale operations, we are expanding our finance team and looking for a Senior Operations Accountant to help drive financial performance and operational efficiency. This role will be a permanent opportunity based in our West Perth head office with occasional site travel required. Reporting to the Business Analysis Manager, this role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and operational analysis to support our growing mining operations. You’ll work closely with operational leaders, providing financial insights and business partnering to optimise cost structures and drive data-driven decision-making. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to make a tangible impact on the financial health of our business. With our plant now fully commissioned, we have successfully transitioned into production and are six months into operations with a 20+ year mine life. Our Open Pit continues to operate through 2025 and at current rates is on track to be completed early in 2026. Meanwhile, our underground operations continue with decline and level development in line with plan. The team onsite remain on track to commence underground stoping in early production Q4 FY2025. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts. Provide in-depth cost analysis and performance insights to drive operational efficiency. Develop and enhance management reporting. Work closely with department heads to provide financial guidance and improve cost control. Lead budgeting and forecasting activities for operational departments. Assist in the optimisation of SAP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools linked to SAP. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and decision-making. About you 5+ years experience in management accounting, operational finance, or cost control. Strong background in financial management within mining companies. Strong analytical skills with experience in SAP, BI tools, and financial modelling. CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred. Exceptional communication and business partnering skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a passion for driving financial excellence. Able to pass a Pre-Employment medical, National Police Clearance, and Drug and Alcohol screen.
