Museums Victoria is seeking a talented Senior Philanthropy and Communications Coordinator to help us connect with current and prospective supporters and grow awareness for our museums, world-leading research, and community impact. ABOUT MUSEUM VICTORIA: Museum Victoria cares for the State scientific and cultural collections, providing visitor access, activities, and events at five distinct venues: Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, IMAX Cinema, and world heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building. The Senior Philanthropy and Communications Coordinator will support the development, implementation, and coordination of a successful and sustainable Philanthropy program at Museums Victoria. You will drive revenue growth from a variety of philanthropic sources, including grants, individual donors, trusts, and foundations, in support of Museums Victoria's financial sustainability and strategic priorities. You will also manage a portfolio of philanthropic supporters, coordinate campaigns and philanthropic communication, and ensure smooth, compliant reporting. Secure and service fundraising revenue from diverse philanthropic sources Develop and submit funding proposals for major projects and exhibitions Coordinate and contribute to Development communications and tools, including but not limited to donation web pages, annual campaigns, and reports Manage donor relationships and ensure outstanding account management Monitor and service grants and funding deliverables in collaboration with project staff Provide high-level reporting, donor profiles, and progress updates to senior leadership Support the identification of new donor prospects and development of strategies for revenue growth About You In addition to your passion for the science and cultural sector, you will bring a proven track record in securing and managing philanthropic support, with strong experience in writing proposals, securing grants, and delivering multi-channel campaigns. Your exceptional written and verbal communication, customer service, and account management skills enable you to engage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders effectively. You have excellent planning and problem-solving skills that support your ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
