About Your Opportunity As the Senior Planning Engineer – Asset Sustainability, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the sustainability and resilience of Seqwater infrastructure assets. You will deliver high quality design and project management documents for asset sustainability capital projects. You will also ensure a thorough and effective management of transition of projects to the Project Delivery team. Your skills and expertise will see you providing sound advice on asset sustainability projects to ensure a prudent and efficient delivery. Key responsibilities: Lead the development of capital projects and asset management plans including managing engineering design that prioritise sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Asset Management and Planning teams to integrate sustainability considerations into asset planning and decision-making processes. Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing assets to identify opportunities for improvement in sustainability, reliability, and efficiency. Oversee the procurement process for design services, including defining scope of work, assessing proposals, and reviewing vendor submissions. Review and oversee service providers’ deliverables to ensure they effectively tackle key issues, offering efficient solutions that align with project goals and are completed within the agreed time and budget. Lead the design process, supervising concept, preliminary and detail design stages for asset renewals, improvements, and expansions prior to implementation. About you To be successful in this role, you will possess: Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering Current active RPEQ registration in a discipline relevant to the position or working towards RPEQ registration and able to obtain within 12 months of commencing employment. Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in asset management, infrastructure planning, or related field. Proven experience in successfully implementing asset sustainability initiatives in asset-intensive industries. Proven experience in planning and evaluating complex infrastructure projects producing high quality planning reports, design deliverables, or business cases. This position has a salary range of $128,257- $140,504 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation. Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements.
