An opportunity is available for an experienced Podiatrist to join the Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) team to provide restorative and rehabilitation services to older people, promoting movement and independence in activities of daily living that help retain function and reduce decline. The Role: Provide a high standard of clinical care in accordance with professional standards, best practice, and person-centred care to patients at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) and Repatriation site. Collaborate within podiatry and multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery of high-quality health care to improve the foot health of patients. Lead and/or participate in quality improvement, research, and education of self and others. Demonstrate the ability to function independently as well as contribute and collaborate within a team environment to achieve patient and podiatry service goals. Exhibit well-developed organisational, decision-making, and time management skills, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to prioritise daily workload in a complex environment often subject to workload pressures. Details of appointment: Permanent, part-time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022 . You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Eligibility: Registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Podiatry Board of Australia. Desirable Requirements: 5 years clinical podiatry experience or demonstrated ability to work in a senior position. Current Driver’s Licence. Holds or working towards postgraduate studies. Position Features: The Podiatry South team is based at the Telstra building in Hobart with outpatient services delivered at this site; inpatient services are delivered at the RHH and the Repat site.
