We have an exciting, fixed term temporary full-time opportunity for you to join our Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Branch. Job details Position status: Fixed Term Temporary Position type: Flexible full-time Occupational group: Policy & Planning Classification: AO6 Workplace Location: Job ad reference: QLD/CEQ/615060 Closing date: 30-Jan-2025 Fortnightly salary: $4651.70 - $4982.80 Job duration: Fixed term temporary full time for 6 months The Senior Policy Officer, Legislative Projects Unit, undertakes research, and supports the analysis, development, and implementation of policy regarding statewide legislative and associated reforms across the mental health, alcohol and other drugs system. The successful person You will have demonstrated: Ability to research policy issues of a complex nature and the capacity to provide accurate and timely advice to management in relation to these issues. Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders. Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills. Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the interpretation and requirements of relevant legislation and policy (e.g. the Mental Health Act 2016 , Forensic Disability Act 2011 and the Guardianship and Administration Act 2000 ) and its complex inter-relationship with government, non-government and private sectors.
