THE ROLE The Senior Policy and Project Officer leads the delivery of policy advice, programs and initiatives to improve economic inclusion and participation through community support, financial capability development, concessions and food relief. Reporting to the Manager, Economic Inclusion, the role works across government and with key partners to operationalise equity and inclusion, build the capability of government to understand the drivers and results of poverty and disadvantage, and respond to the needs of nearly every intersection of the Victorian community. The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires capacity to exercise sound judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders. Core to being successful in this role will be your experience and knowledge in project and policy design or implementation, your ability to understand new subject matter quickly, demonstrate appropriate initiative, produce high-quality products, and your conceptual and analytical abilities.
