The Business AustCorp Executive is working in partnership with a leading consultancy in the energy sector. The company specialises in project management and executing complex projects in Australia and internationally. The role we are recruiting for is a Senior Power Systems Engineer. This person will be responsible for power system modelling and studies as well as grid connection support. The Role Deliver high quality power systems studies for projects, working closely with developers, investors, NSPs and AEMO. Provide expert project management and support across a range of projects. Offer expert guidance on regulations, strategy, and technical solutions to address complex challenges in power systems and energy. Deliver power system studies including load flow, fault levels, network impact studies, system strength studies and grid connections compliance. Develop business opportunities by establishing external network in many contexts, such as through client contacts. Provide guidance, coach and mentor engineers across the discipline. The Requirements Bachelor’s or higher degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years proven technical experience. Demonstrated understanding of power system modelling with proficiency in electrical design and simulation tools such as SKM PTW, ETap, DigSilent PowerFactory, PSCAD, CYMCAP, CDEGS, etc. Project management capabilities and experience with energy systems and technologies. Stakeholder negotiations experience to ensure successful project completion. Experience and exposure working with network/ distribution NSPs, knowledge of the NER. Experience with AEMO connections and GPS studies will be advantageous.
