Our client, a leading global engineering and technical consultancy, is seeking Senior—to principal-level Power Systems Engineers to join its innovative Grid and Power Systems Advisory team. With a healthy share of Australia's grid connection studies, this group offers unrivalled access to a wide array of projects and technical challenges. Location: Ideally based in Melbourne , but remote work options are available. About the Role: This is your chance to work with a forward-thinking organization at the forefront of renewable energy and grid connection solutions. As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you’ll lead complex technical studies, provide innovative solutions for renewable energy projects, and guide clients through critical milestones with AEMO and NSPs. Key Responsibilities: Lead power system studies for large-scale renewable energy projects across Australia. Solve complex network challenges and develop innovative solutions to support grid integration. Navigate connection processes with AEMO and NSPs, ensuring project milestones are met. Collaborate with clients, OEMs, and regulatory bodies to deliver successful outcomes. Manage technical quality, timelines, and budgets for high-profile projects. Strong knowledge through R0, R1 and commissioning studies. Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s or higher). Extensive experience in power systems modelling using tools like PSS/E, PowerFactory, or PSCAD. Proven expertise in grid connection processes and renewable energy integration. Strong project management skills with an ability to deliver under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
