The role: The purpose of the Women’s Senior Product Developer role is to support the Women’s Production Manager and team in executing the in-house brands product lifecycle. Working closely with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders throughout the production process, the Senior Product Developer has a significant impact on the development and maintenance of high-quality product, ultimately managing production costs and driving company profit. Your skillset and experience will assist in the development and coaching of the Product Development Team. What you'll be doing: Liaising with suppliers to manage product timelines, quality, and margin targets, and providing technical packs (artwork, fabric swatches, etc.). Managing the production cycle, from cost negotiation to delivery terms and stakeholder engagement. Collaborating on design phases, incorporating trends, technical specs, and brand guidelines. Creating graphics using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and finalizing artwork with accurate specifications. Ensuring suppliers receive clear briefs and specs to produce quality products. Overseeing multiple departments and managing sampling, invoicing, and quality control of stock and samples. Building relationships with buyers, suppliers, and manufacturers, and creating technical packs and CADs. Understanding supply chain processes, intellectual property, and trademark requirements. Managing high-volume workloads while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Demonstrating strong written, verbal, organizational, and administrative skills, and deep knowledge of product construction, fabrications, and trims. What you'll need: Tertiary qualification in fashion, design or related fields highly desired. Previous experience as a Product Developer or similar role within the fashion industry required. Offshore experience is essential. Proficient in the Microsoft Suite and mid–high level competency with Illustrator and Photoshop CAD. Written and spoken Mandarin highly regarded but not essential.
