About the OPPORTUNITY We have an opportunity for a Senior Production Planner to join our Advanced Manufacturing Team based at Edinburgh Parks SA, reporting to the Production Planning Lead. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project has what it needs to complete work on time, to stay on schedule and meet critical delivery timelines. Additionally, you will oversee activities related to handling delivery delays, confirming accuracy of inventory available in stores and on the shop floor. Key responsibilities include: Develop production plans to meet customer requirement dates. Report work order progress and track work in progress and material shortages according to production schedule. Oversee activities related to handling delivery delays, confirming accuracy of inventory available in stores and on the shop floor, required tooling and documentation among departments. Monitor aspects of production shop floor processes affecting work order progress. Flag issues and follow through closure of production issues. Maintain and report on production status utilising the ERP system and line of business charts. Maintain up to date production issue lists and updates on work progress. Work closely with project management, production, and engineering to assist in expediting work orders and product priorities. Monitor and update exceptions to the agreed production plan with the use of the Oracle scheduling tools. About YOU Demonstrated experience in a Production, Scheduling/ Production Planning type role, preferably in the heavy engineering industries or equivalent tertiary qualifications or production trade experience. Demonstrated attention to detail, adherence to timeliness and a methodical problem-solving approach with the ability to make independent judgements and decisions. Confident user of Microsoft Office applications with a focus on Excel. Working understanding of Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations requirements and processes. Working knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) processes and toolsets. Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.
