About the role: The Senior Program Adviser is part of a small team that monitors health service performance in Victoria's North East as well as coordinating statewide performance functions. The role coordinates and leads responses to new and emerging issues and risks relating to metropolitan, rural and regional health services. The role plays a key role in coordination of statewide performance functions including the annual budget cycle and Statement of Priority process. Demonstrated competency in monitoring financial, quality and governance issues, well-developed analytical and conceptual skills, relationship management and the ability to manage tight deadlines are critical to the role. The role also involves developing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including health service Chief Executive Officers, health service executives and a range of program and policy areas within the department. The position specialises in Quality, Safety and Performance across health services. Qualification: A qualification in health, business, project management and or working in government or the health sector would be advantageous but not required.
