THE ROLE The Senior Project Adviser will work in a collaborative team focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to social and affordable housing for Victorians. The role will also require project management experience, building strong stakeholder relationships, experience in providing authoritative advice, preparation of briefs and reports, oversight of procurement activities across the branch.The Senior Project Adviser will play a key role in ensuring the processes within the Housing Outcomes and Partnerships (HOP) Directorate are managed efficiently and follow best practice. In particular, the role will manage allocations of Ministerial briefings and reporting including in relation to the Minister's parliamentary responsibilities as well as facilitate the prompt signing of briefings and correspondence and respond to requests for information from a range of internal and external stakeholders. The role will also draft briefs and correspondence in consultation with the relevant program areas. You will operate in a complex and dynamic environment, requiring capacity to exercise sound judgement, liaise effectively with senior executives and build relationships with key people across the department and relevant stakeholders in Homes Victoria and the department. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Provide a range of administrative and corporate support services to the HOP Directorate with a focus on the coordination of responses to high-volume confidential correspondence, emails, and briefs. Effectively manage briefing requests for the branch, including PPQs, PAEC briefs and Cabinet Coordination comments requests, ensuring that they are allocated quickly and appropriately and are finalised in a timely manner. Drafting of briefs for the Executive Director and preparation of cabinet submissions and cabinet coordination comment requests.
