Location: Melbourne, Australia Type of contract : Permanent SLB New Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer - Design to join our Integrated Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading design work, conducting peer reviews, and supervising the engineering team to ensure the successful completion of Renewable energy projects. Main Duties: Design Work: Lead the design and development of engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Peer Review: Conduct thorough peer reviews of engineering designs and documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to best practices. Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure seamless project execution. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of engineering work. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during the project lifecycle. Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design specifications, reports, and progress updates. Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve engineering processes and outcomes. Requirements: Reside in Australia and have the right to live and work in Australia. No travel restrictions and open to relocation in Australia based on company’s requirement. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (master’s degree preferred). Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) license or equivalent certification. Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with a focus on integrated projects ideally in power generation, solar, energy storage, renewable energy space. Proven experience in design work, peer review, and team supervision. Strong understanding of Australian engineering regulations, hazardous facilities and grid connection processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in engineering software and tools. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
