Senior Project Geologist (EXPAT EAST AFRICA) We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Project Geologist to support the Exploration Superintendent in managing exploration activities for our Nyanzaga project, with potential input into other exploration projects and project generation activities as required. Reporting to the Exploration Superintendent, and working a 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off roster FIFO to Tanzania, Africa, this role will: Ensure that all exploration and resource definition programs meet technical standards and that data collected aligns with resource definition, studies, technical services, and operational requirements. Assist in managing the planning, implementation, and assessment of exploration programs, ensuring they are designed, managed, and implemented safely, cost-effectively, and in line with industry standards. Provide concise, accurate, and timely reports and data as requested by managers. Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements. Mentor geological staff and act as an alternate for the Exploration Superintendent as required. Essential Qualifications and Skills: Formal qualifications in Geology from an internationally recognised institution. International Driver’s License. A minimum of 15 years’ relevant geological experience in the African mining and exploration industry, with a focus on gold mineralisation. Expertise in GIS and other 3D geological, geochemical, and geophysical data analysis tools such as Micromine, QGIS, MapInfo-Discover, Leapfrog, and ioGAS. Knowledge of geological databases. Proven experience in managing exploration programs in remote locations, with a high level of autonomy and accountability. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and management skills, with a strong commitment to health, safety, environment, and community. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated experience in planning and implementing exploration programs. Where You’ll Be Working: This role is based at our Nyanzaga Gold Project in Tanzania on a 6 weeks on, 3 week off roster, situated in the heart of Tanzania, East Africa—a region renowned for its abundant natural resources and rapidly developing mining sector.
