This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced construction Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of the High-Rise Cooling Program for the Planned Asset Improvement Unit of Homes Victoria's Asset Management Branch. The Senior Project Manager is a key role in a collaborative team focused on the installation of cooling to the portfolio of high-rise public housing towers throughout Victoria. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the management and installation of new air conditioning technology within public high rise tower dwellings across Victoria's fourteen (14) precincts. The precincts comprise 44 high rise towers which were constructed between 1960 and 1975 and comprise 6,660 units. The towers vary between 12 and 30 storeys in height and come in a variety of plan forms. 13 towers house older persons. The role will require an experienced candidate with proficiency in all facets of construction project management including coordinating procurement processes and contract management, providing authoritative advice, and building strong stakeholder relationships to deliver project outcomes. The Senior Project Manager role also involves program management including a high degree of planning and scheduling, managing consultants and external stakeholders of various scales to deliver a demand-driven Program. Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including Divisional officers, consultants, contractors, renters, external agencies, local government, and departmental staff. A high standard of project co-ordination is required to ensure timely delivery of projects, including robust procurement processes, timely and accurate communication, and budget and cash flow management and reporting. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet, and agency submissions on complex matters. Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach. Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring, or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
