Senior Project Manager, Financial Management and Services Employment Type: Ongoing. We are looking at creating a Talent Pool from this recruitment for future Fixed Term positions subject to our business requirements. Classification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 11/12 Remuneration: $145,378.00 - $168,130.00; plus Superannuation and Leave Loading Location: Sydney CBD, Flexible & hybrid working options available Applications Close: Monday, 10 February 2025, 10:00am Your day as a Senior Project Manager The Financial Management and Services group spearheads all-of-government financial reporting, risk and governance frameworks, and strategic advice to support economic policy and fiscal management initiatives, ensuring probity, best practice, and statutory compliance. It leads NSW Treasury’s central role in addressing climate change risks, tackling intergenerational disadvantage through impact investment, and expanding the sustainable bond program. Additionally, the group oversees NSW Treasury’s core services and operational functions, including workforce and culture, internal finances, strategy and business performance, IT, facilities management, and communications, in partnership with the Office of General Counsel. As a Senior Project Manager , you'll orchestrate an array of projects, from their inception to successful completion. Your role will encompass planning, scoping, scheduling, governance, risk and issue management, change management, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance. You'll be the key driver in ensuring that all activities are crafted to actively engage stakeholders, driving the projects towards their objectives and strategic goals. The Information Technology (IT) Division maintains IT infrastructure to meet Treasury's evolving needs, leading digital workplace management and providing support for applications, records technology, Budget systems optimisation, cyber security, data analytics, and reporting. Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts. You will be joining our Treasury IT Team and will be working within the Financial Management and Services (FMS) Division. Read more about your future Group and Division . The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in strategic organisational development practice High level of understanding of project methodologies and tools Proven project management experience, delivering large and multi-faceted projects, is essential Proven leadership or senior management experience Confidence to thrive and influence in a highly collaborative environment Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing medium to large scale organisational change projects in a complex business environment Highly analytical with an astute attention to detail Exceptional written and oral communications skills Proven stakeholder management; influencing and dispute resolution skills.
