About the Opportunity Our EnergyCo NSW Project Delivery team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer Energy Infrastructure to join the Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO provides support to projects and coordinates governance, assurance, reporting and project control across the program. Your focus in this role on any given day could be: Supporting Project Control functional leads as required Providing PMO support and/or advice to individual projects as required Serving as PMO liaison for one or more EnergyCo stakeholders Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships across various stakeholders Identifying opportunities to optimise project governance, assurance, reporting or control Effectively and efficiently managing and escalating risks, issues or opportunities A “sky-is-the-limit” opportunity for the ideal candidate to join EnergyCo and make a real difference by contributing to a fully funded, major program at the forefront of innovation, where you'll help shape the journey from the ground up. About You To excel in this role, you will bring demonstrated expertise in mega-and complex infrastructure project management and delivery. Your project control skills encompass scheduling, cost control, cost forecasting and risk management. Your proficiency with the standard suite of project controls tools, like Primavera, are an essential part of your contribution. You are adept at maintaining risk registers and facilitating risk workshops. With strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you thrive in stakeholder-facing roles, confidently managing expectations and leading meetings with senior stakeholders. Your ability to gather, analyse and interpret information, deliver clear reports, and navigate competing priorities enables you to drive outcomes aligned with EnergyCo’s ambitious energy transition goals. Collaborative and pragmatic, you balance risks, resources, and deliverables while providing timely, strategic advice on complex challenges. Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
