Qantas Group Property manages a portfolio of over 2 million SQM across approximately 100 locations. The Property Development team plays a key role by providing comprehensive property project management services within the Qantas Group. The team works closely with a broad range of stakeholders and end users to deliver property solutions supporting all facets of the business to meet constantly evolving operational requirements and to assist the organisation in providing a premium Customer experience. As a Senior Property Development Manager, you will assist in the delivery of an exciting and challenging portfolio of projects. You will lead, coach and mentor Property Development team members to ensure they continue to grow and develop, while delivering projects on behalf of the company, on time, within budget, safely and to recognised best practice standards, meeting applicable business unit requirements. This includes preparing and presenting both written and verbal presentations to senior executive management of the company on the property portfolio and project health. The position manages external professional consultants on the delivery, governance and financial control of projects and negotiates with airport owners/operators on the provision of operational facilities and accommodation for use by the airline. You’ll have: 8+ years’ experience in buildings and infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle in the aviation and/or similar sectors such as Industrial and Defence Tertiary Qualifications/ bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline Demonstrated experience with contracting and supplier management e.g. sourcing, negotiating, risk minimisation Strong project management skills with exposure to project and/or development methodologies Strong understanding of financial evaluation principles and techniques Strong understanding of the regulatory environment, with a willingness and ability to increase knowledge base Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects, effectively prioritise and work to deadlines Ability to work autonomously Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong understanding of computer-based systems and databases Strong written skills supported by rigorous documentation and record-keeping Strong influencing and negotiation skills Demonstrated experience successfully managing others Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor others Experience developing solutions to operational problems and opportunities and implementation of change Why Qantas?
