We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant with a strong background in technical accounting to join a growing finance team.This role is crucial in ensuring that the financial reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy and compliance, in line with industry regulations and best practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IFRS and statutory reporting, as well as the analytical skills needed to interpret complex accounting standards. If you are a proactive problem solver with a passion for financial accuracy and technical excellence, we invite you to apply.Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and statutory guidelines. Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and statutory requirements, including bank-specific financial regulations. Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all reporting entities. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance for internal stakeholders. Internal Controls & Process Improvement Lead and coordinate critical banking projects to support strategic goals Ensure alignment with statutory compliance and industry standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for on-time completion Foster operational efficiency and implement continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA/CPA qualification or equivalent (required). Minimum of 5 experience in financial accounting within the banking or financial services industry. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting for banks. Experience with financial instruments and an understanding of complex financial products. Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel. Key Competencies Technical Expertise : Strong understanding of IFRS and technical accounting for banking, with the ability to interpret and apply complex standards. Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze and synthesize complex financial data for accurate reporting. Attention to Detail : Thorough and meticulous approach to financial reporting and compliance. Communication Skills : Ability to explain technical accounting issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
