Are you looking to make a meaningful impact on the mental health and wellbeing of the community through facilitating the implementation of evidence into practice? At Curtin EnAble Institute, we invite you to apply for an exciting full-time, 24 months contract opportunity as a Senior Research Fellow.In this pivotal role, you will co-lead a program of research focused on co-designing, testing and implementing interventions that improve access to and quality of mental health and substance use services. We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of achievements in research, recognised at a national level for their work.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Research Conduct competitive research both nationally and internationally. Grow an existing program of research focused on addressing mental health care inequities through implementation science. Lead and contribute to research projects and teams, serving as a chief investigator for grant applications. Produce high-quality research publications and outputs. Supervise honours, master's, and doctoral research students. Manage administrative tasks related to research activities. Service and Leadership Foster a supportive working environment and mentor junior staff. Engage in academic service and leadership within the University. Build relationships with professional bodies, industry partners, and the community. Selection Criteria Educational Qualifications: Hold a doctoral qualification in a relevant health discipline, showcasing a strong foundation for advanced research and scholarship. Strong interest and experience in using implementation science methods to facilitate evidence implementation and in codesign methodologies. Research Excellence: An established record of research outputs or creative works published in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals or outlets that are consistent with the discipline. Reputation and Impact: Provide evidence of an established national reputation and a growing international profile. Research Leadership: Show demonstrated experience or the capacity to provide effective research leadership, fostering innovation and collaboration within research teams. Grant Acquisition: Exhibit a proven history of successful competitive grant applications and a strong track record of securing research funding, contributing to the sustainability of research initiatives. Supervision Experience: Evidence a history of effectively supervising Higher Degree Research (HDR) students. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Showcase high-level communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage sensitively with diverse populations and organisations.
