We are looking for a Senior Research Fellow who also has psychology qualifications. PIRI is currently engaged in a number of prestigious projects including a NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence (CRE). This STePPS CRE (steppscre.org) is a national centre driving the identification, development and translation of online mental health interventions in the first 1000 days of a child’s life. PIRI is considered an international leader in research in perinatal mental health and its impact on mothers, fathers, and infants. About the role: We are looking for a team player with highly developed organizational skills, a sense of humour, initiative, and a readiness to flexibly multitask and keen to work within a growing research institute. The successful applicant will be interested in a career direction in perinatal mental health, take a lead on selected academic tasks, research projects, and be involved in grant applications. Other activities as needed: Involvement in PIRI’s publications schedule and supporting the Director and Executive staff in key publications. Overseeing specific projects with responsibility for adherence to relevant protocols. Supervising the conduct of a number of studies by junior research staff and students. Supporting the Executive Director in liaison with government and other agencies in the field of perinatal mental health. About you: To be successful in this role you will have: Relevant tertiary qualifications Experience and interest in the delivery of online mental health interventions. IT literacy and relevant knowledge of digital programs. Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management. Research experience and the implementation of large programs is desirable. Track record in grant writing and academic publications. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
