We are seeking a skilled Senior Retail Trade Specialist to be based in our Sydney flagship store, focusing on building and managing relationships with trade partners such as interior designers, architects, contractors, and other key industry clients. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on providing exceptional service, understands the dynamics of the trade market, and is passionate about being an advocate for our Trade Program. As our Senior Retail Trade Specialist , you will be responsible for driving sales through the development of strong, lasting relationships with trade partners and their clients, ensuring they receive a personalized and value-added experience. You’ll be the key point of contact for our trade partners; providing dedicated support for trade partners by offering pre-purchase and post-purchase assistance and personalized product recommendations and solutions which would meet their project needs. What you’ll be doing Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing trade partners, ensuring high levels of engagement and customer satisfaction to foster brand loyalty. Serve as the main point of contact for in-showroom and online-to-offline enquiries from trade partners. Offer dedicated and personalized assistance to trade partners for their projects – spanning from showroom/virtual tours, product introduction and selection, order management to post-purchase assistance. Collaborate effectively with customer experience agents, logistics, marketing and sales team members to ensure a seamless and stress-free shopping experience for trade partners and their clients. Understand and communicate details around ongoing marketing campaigns and trade program benefits to drive sales and encourage repeat purchases. Organize trade-exclusive events to raise program awareness, engage trade partners and drive footfall and sales in the Australian market. Proactively engage trade partners to gather insights to improve trade program strategies and outcomes. Stay informed on industry trends, new product launches, and design innovations to provide up-to-date recommendations to clients. What you’ll need At least 3 years of experience in an account management role to drive sales, preferably within the furniture, interior design, or home decor industry. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with industry professionals. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor your approach to engage effectively with industry professionals across different businesses. A deep understanding of the trade market and the unique needs of industry professionals. A passion for interior design and an understanding of furniture trends, materials and craftsmanship would be a plus. Ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. Great organizational and time management skills in managing multiple trade partner accounts. Curious and results-oriented. Proactively gather insights, identifies opportunities and gaps to enhance program outcomes.
